Apple Valley Golf Coiurse (formerly Apple Valley Country Club) was established in the mid 1940s by Newton “Newt” T. Bass and Bernard J. “Bud” Westlund, oil field wildcatters who are widely considered to have created Apple Valley, California. Their pioneering spirit and foresight resulted in successful real estate development opportunities, including this beautiful 18-hole golf club located in the Town of Apple Valley, California. Opened for play in 1948, the golf course was designed by William F. Bell, more commonly known as Billy Bell Jr., a mid 1900s renowned golf course architect who designed and built in excess of 50 golf courses including California Country Club, Country Club at Ranch Bernardo & Rancho Bernardo Inn, La Cumbre Country Club, Mesa Verde Country Club, Newport Beach Country Club, Red Hill Country Club and Saticoy Country Club. Today, this public facility consists of a Championship 18-hole golf course, driving range, full food & beverage facilities, and tennis courts.
Two public tennis courts are available daily from dawn until 9 pm on a first come, first serve basis.
The facility features a bar/lounge, dining room, pro-shop and a meeting room.
A glass-enclosed patio provides a golf course view for dining patrons. The dining schedule is as follows:
